how to take a photo for your painting
tips for taking your photo
If you are taking a photo for your pet's painting here are a few tips.
- Avoid harsh shadows created by strong light falling on your pet. Use shade or an indoor area.
- Have a light source behind you so that the colour of your pet's eyes shines through. If you are using a shaded area, place your pet at the edge of the shade. If you are indoors, have your pet facing a window.
- Have your camera or phone at your pet's eye level. This may be easier if you can sit or lie on your stomach when you take the photo.
- Try and zoom in and take a head shot rather than your pet's whole body.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Sometimes it can take a few tries, so don't be concerned if I ask for another photo to use.
